Lauren - A GDPR consultant

Lauren qualified as a Barrister-at-Law in 2008 and went on to complete a Masters of Law in Trinity College. She is in the process of completing a PhD in her specialist area, Whistleblowing Law with Middlesex University.

Lauren is a self-employed Barrister and she lectures in law both in Ireland and the UK. She was an associate with Transparency International Ireland where she provided training on whistleblowing and the Protected Disclosures Act 2014 advising on best practice in dealing with whistleblowers, effective assessment and investigation procedures.

In her role as ReganStein’s Legal & Protected Disclosures consultant, Lauren is responsible for providing specific training around protected disclosures. In addition, she is responsible for writing in a protected disclosures element to policy documents and updating or creating specific protected disclosures policies to facilitate effective breach/incident reporting.

She is a regular contributor at speaking events and workshops on her specialist area, protected disclosures, including the National Disability Authority, Prime Time team at RTE, Department of Public Expenditure and Reform, Workplace Relations Commission and Leinster House.

Lauren also addressed the Irish Charity Compliance and Governance Conference Compliance, around the importance of transparency, corporate governance and openness for Irish Charities to ensure operations are up front with volunteers, donors, the public and trustees in order to maintain confidence, and help raise vital funds.
