Philipa, who heads up ReganStein’s cyber security team, holds a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence Programming together with an LLB in Constitutional Litigation, Electronic Law and Intellectual Property Law.
Philipa is an analytical and focused person who enjoys a challenge in the workplace. She loves technology, systems and people and has a passion for showing how technology can make life easier and better.
With 20 years’ experience working in businesses across a variety of different sectors she has a broad overview of operational, risk, compliance and internet-security related matters. Involved in the area of cybersecurity for many years, Philipa was reverse engineering virus damage on corporate networks before anti viruses were effective or even accessible.
She has built and run various different security systems with appropriate layers in commercial, educational and home settings with the usual components of content filters and automated alerts. Part of her past work involved gathering evidence of cybercrime for court cases and she was certified as a Microsoft engineer while completing her degree. More recently, Philipa has completed security audits on websites as well as forensic checks to determine causes of breaches as well as assessing vulnerabilities in IT infrastructure. She is also project managing a large-scale NIS readiness assessment for an OES who are obliged under EU regulations to implement state of the art technologies to manage the security risks of their networks and systems.
